“I have heard it all my life, from family, friends and strangers invited to join our family table – just how good and special is the food prepared by my Godma and Mother (Mama). Their recipes and specialities seem to have the ability to lift people and satisfy them beyond just satiating their appetites.
Both Godma and Mama are strong principled women who are generous of their time and support for people. I spend a great deal of time with both of them in my formative years. Among other characteristics, their qualities of generosity and doing things for others are ones that I hold particularly dear to me.
By way of gratitude, to celebrate them and to preserve their legacy and recipes, I decided to start Godmama – inspired by both their names – Godma and Mama.”
